A complimentary fitness assessment with a Definitions ACSM-certified trainer is the first step to achieving your health and fitness goals. Here’s how to start:

2. How to prepare.

Bring workout clothing you are comfortable in. Definitions is a low-key, private gym so you don’t need to dress to impress. Try to eat something light about ninty minutes before your workout. Avoid heavy perfumes, silence your cellphones, and begin to focus on your fitness goals. As with any new exercise regime, always check with your physician to see if there are any restrictions to your working out.

 

3. What to expect.

On the day of your assessment, a Definitions certified trainer will guide you through the following:

  • A thorough exercise questionnaire.
  • Tests for blood pressure, body fat composition, aerobic, and strength ability;
  • A warm-up on a variety of cardiovascular equipment;
  • Basic core exercises emphasizing abdominal and lower back strength;
  • Strength training to build endurance, coordination and balance;
  • Stretching to improve flexibility and recovery.

Afterwards you can shower in one of our private changing rooms.

Definitions clients have access to laundry and locker service at no extra cost.
